Description: Barracuda lake is a lake in a volcano crater on the north side of Coron island. You'll need a 5-10 minutes hike with your full equipment to reach it. The main feature on this dive site is the mix of fresh and salt water and the incredibly warm temperatures. The top 4m are fresh water at around 28°C followed by saltwater at the same temperature until around 13m. Then a very warm (36°C) layer of saltwater goes from 13m to 34m where an even warmer (38°C) but completely dark layer starts (you can hardly see your hands!). It's supposed to get clear again around 40m.

Marine life includes a barracuda, a snapper and a trevally, catfishes, shrimps that will happily clean your nails and a few more things...
