Description: Apo Reef is the world's second-largest contiguous coral reef system and lies between Palawan and Mindoro island. It is composed of two coral reefs separated by a 30 meter-deep channel making up the atoll-reef system. Aside from coral reefs, sea grass meadows, beds of macro algae and mangrove stands are present on and around the reef.

Diving: There is two ways to come to Apo Reef: you can join Pandan island's boats for a daytrip (or more) or come on a liveaboard (starting from Coron in Busuanga or from Puerto Galera in Mindoro).

Dive sites: Most dive sites around Apo are reef in the shallow down to 10-15m where a wall starts and goes well beyond the limits of recreational diving. Marine life is widespread and there are some 400-500 different types of coral and the same number of fish species.

Marine life includes sharks (blacktip, whitetip, hammerhead for the lucky,...), rays (eagle, devil, manta), school of barracudas, jacks, tunas, turtles and a million of other reef fishes.

Favorites are "Ego Wall", "South-East Corner".
