![]() Description: Malaysia is separated into two regions (Peninsular Malaysia and Malaysian Borneo) by the South China Sea. The country has become one of the top holiday destinations in South East Asia, mainly because of its white beaches and accessible islands. Peninsular Malaysia has always been the more developed side of Malaysia while Sarawak and Sabah have been more remote known for its rain forests and wilderness.
![]() Season: Malaysia has different wet and dry season depending where you intend to go. Sabah eastern coast (including Pulau Sipadan) can be dived whole year round even during the less settled November to March period. Sabah western coast has its dry season from January to May. West Peninsular Malaysia has its dry season from November to March while in East Peninsular Malaysia the dry season is from April to October. Diving: The east coast of Peninsular Malaysia (the Perhentians, Tioman (coming soon)) offers easy shallow reef dives and wrecks, a visibility from 5-25m and very cheap prices. Sabah on the other hand, with the world known Sipadan (coming soon), offers some incredible walls and drop offs, a visibility from 15-40m but can be a bit pricey. |
